Renae Kurth has been working in the psychology field for over 20 years. She is an endorsed Clinical Psychologist, a full member of the Australian Psychological Society, and a registered supervisor with the Psychology Board of Autralia.
Renae has conducted post-graduate research on “What makes psychological therapy effective and how can we improve its effectiveness”, has presented papers at international conferences on treatment effectiveness, and lectured for many years at various Brisbane universities.
Renae has worked in:
child and youth mental health
adult mental health
perinatal mental health, and
family and parenting services.
She has a particular interest in anxiety disorders and has trained psychologists, GPs, and youth and family counsellors on treating anxiety. She also enjoys helping clients manage burn-out, depression, stress, grief and loss, trauma, major life changes, relationships, parenting, identity, and self-esteem.
She utilises a range of therapeutic approaches in her work, including (but not limited to): EMDR, Schema Therapy, CBT, Mindfulness-based Therapies, ACT, DBT, and IPT.
She provides LGBTIAP+ affirming services and enjoys working with people who are transgender, non-binary, asexual, questioning, and/or intersex. She is a proud member of AusPATH.
As an ADHDer, she enjoys working with neurodivergent clients (ADHD, Autism, etc) and provides neurodivergent-affirming therapy.
Renae can also provide professional supervision to other psychologists and registrars in training. She is a Board-Registered Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia.

Natalie Avery, Clinical Psychologist

Natalie is a registered Clinical Psychologist and a full member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Natalie has previously worked with adults, children/ adolescents and their families, and has worked in both public mental health and private sectors. Natalie also has experience working with clients with intellectual disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Natalie’s experience in public mental health services includes working with clients who have multiple and complex care needs; including severely challenging behaviour, forensic issues (and/or increased risk of contact with the criminal justice system), history of trauma (including victims of crime), and alcohol/ substance use.
Natalie has a particular interest in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to assist clients to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Natalie has completed EMDR Institute Accredited Basic Training and is a member of the EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA). Natalie continues her learning and is working towards becoming an EMDRAA Accredited Practitioner. Further information regarding EMDR can be found on the EMDRAA website.

Amanda works with tweens, adolescents, young adults, and adults.
Amanda has received training in South Africa, Switzerland, and Australia. Her diverse career path has led to a great variety over 15 years’ experience in both the education and private sector. She has worked in co-educational schools both within the local and international community.
The therapeutic process she uses is a joint journey between you and her. For adolescents, young adults and adults, Amanda’s collaborative approach means the relationship is similar to that of pilot and co-pilot. You decide on what you would like to achieve in the sessions and Amanda supports you in realising your goals.
For children and parents, her role is to help you move in the direction that will enable your child to have healthy relationships and to function well at school.
Amanda works from a strengths based approach using your own personal strengths, principles and values to support you to live your life with purpose, openness, vitality and fun!
For this purpose, Amanda combines the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); Positive Psychology; Solution Focused Therapy; and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Hi, I’m Linda and I’m very lucky to have practiced Counseling for over 20 years, and hold full AHPRA registration as a Psychologist.
In psychological practice, I have a special interest in:

ERICA SOUTH, Psychologist

Erica is a registered psychologist with experience working with individuals of all ages, delivering both individual and group therapy. In her work, Erica takes a person-centred approach, tailoring therapy techniques to each unique individual. Erica works from an integrative framework with a focus on a client’s strengths. Erica values authenticity and strives to create a collaborative, warm relationship with clients.
Currently, Erica is working only with adult clients across a range of issues such as: depression, anxiety, stress, interpersonal difficulties, loneliness, self-esteem, identity, and adjustment. Having completed two theses on the topic of social identity (our sense of self derived from group memberships), Erica has a particular interest in helping clients build and/or strengthen their social network.
Erica enjoys artistic endeavours and likes working with clients creatively, such as tailoring therapy resources or exploring unique approaches and viewpoints to client difficulties. Erica also enjoys working with clients from diverse backgrounds and respects the knowledge and skills clients bring with them to therapy.

Phoebe Cooper, Psychologist

Hi, I’m Phoebe. Establishing a warm, nurturing therapeutic relationship is an important part of my practice. I will use our time together to listen deeply without judgment, collaborate with you on a treatment plan and use only evidence-based strategies to support your wellbeing. Through our sessions, I will be a support for you to build insight into the impact your background and history has on your life today. My goal is always to help you to become more comfortable in understanding and expressing your needs.
I have extensive experience working with adults and adolescents with a range of presenting issues and life experiences. The primary therapeutic models I use in my practice are Schema Therapy, the Attachment Theory framework and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy; however, I may also draw on principles of Self-Compassion, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am also an eating disorder clinician and I practice Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E). Depending on your needs, I may use one or several of these frameworks to deliver a unique treatment for you to meet your goals in an eclectic approach.
