FEES & REBATES (FROM 1 July 2024)
In Australia, the 2024-25 recommended fee for a 50min standard consultation with a psychologist is $311-$315 (APS; AAPi). However at Mind & Body Psychology, we charge much lower rates.
Also, if you have a Medicare referral or private health insurance, your out-of-pocket costs could be even lower, depending on what rebates are available to you. See below for more information on fees and rebates.
FEE SCHEDULE
Director:
$245 per standard 50min Private or Medicare session
$367.50 per 90min Private or Medicare trauma-focussed session (requires prior approval and arrangment)
$260 per 50+ min (incl. travel time) Bushwalk & Talk outdoor, nature-based session for private, NDIS, DVA, WorkCover QLD, and select Medicare clients (requires prior approval and arrangment); ‘outside of hrs’ surchage is waived for early morning sessions
+$10 surcharge for first session
+$20 surcharge for outside of hours session (before 8.30am, from 5pm, and weekends; outside of hrs surcharge is waived for early morning Bushwalk & Talk sessions)
-$141.85 Medicare Rebate (Mental Health Care Plan referral, MHCP), or $60.35 Medicare Rebate (Chronic Disease Management referral, CDM), or private health rebate
$222.99 per 50min plan-managed NDIS session
